These Terms are a contract between you and Faith Inc (operating as Genesis Desktop), an Alberta, Canada company ("we", "us"). By purchasing, installing or using Genesis Desktop you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and any separate written agreement with that organization prevails where the two differ.
Family licence: a subscription for one household. It covers your family's computer with unlimited child profiles for the members of your household. It is not for resale, sharing beyond your household, or commercial use.
School licence: covers the students on your roster as agreed in your quote, on any number of school-managed devices. Student counts are based on the roster maintained in the Teacher console.
The software is licensed, not sold. You may not copy (except for backup), modify, reverse-engineer, resell, rent or redistribute it, or attempt to bypass its licensing or child-safety mechanisms.
Family subscriptions are billed annually in Canadian dollars and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. School licences are invoiced per their agreement. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. Prices may change for future terms; we'll give existing subscribers reasonable advance notice.
Genesis Desktop includes built-in content (books, music, games) and tools that let parents and teachers approve outside content such as websites and YouTube playlists. We may add, update, replace or retire content and features over time to keep the product safe and current. Updates are included with an active licence.
Safety settings — PINs, whitelists, screen-time limits and curated media — are controlled by you (or your school). You are responsible for keeping your PIN and licence key confidential, and for the third-party content you choose to approve. Third-party websites, videos and programs you link into Genesis remain governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
Genesis Desktop, its apps, artwork, content and trademarks belong to Faith Inc or its licensors. Documents, paintings and other things your children create belong to you (or, for school accounts, are controlled by the school).
Genesis Desktop is a safety tool, not a substitute for supervision, and no software can guarantee a child's safety in every circumstance. The product is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law; we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
You may stop using Genesis and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate a licence for material breach of these terms (for example, redistribution or circumvention of licensing), with notice where practicable. Sections 6 and 7 survive termination.
